OUR PROMISE

VEGAN AND CRUELTY FREE

Have you ever thought about what your false lashes are made of?

It is so easy to trust a brand once seeing “Cruelty Free” and to buy the product without researching further.

In the UK, Australia and other countries, mink lashes have become popular. They’re made from mink fur that’s been shaved off a mink’s body (either right before or directly after the animal is killed on a fur farm).

Mink lashes are often sold as “100 per cent cruelty-free” or “safely collected from a free-range farm” or even “taken only after the minks have been brushed or have shed“. In fact, though, minks are confined to small, depressing, cramped wire cages in highly unsanitary conditions. It’s pure cruelty!

If you purchase a set of mink lashes even if they are advertised as “Cruelty Free”, you’re supporting an industry in which animals endure immense fear, stress, disease, parasites, and other physical and psychological hardships. If a lash brand offers both mink and faux they are still supporting animal cruelty by offering mink.

Fear not, though—cruelty-free/vegan false lashes are now available right here at Beauty On Mars, made from a premium PBT fibre which is a luxury synthetic material that is as soft as the natural lashes on your own eye lids. Not only are they affordable and accessible, they are top of the range, full, fluffy, flexible, lightweight and can be worn 20+ times. We at Beauty On Mars will NEVER ever have mink lashes as an option!

We do not aim to slander those who chose to use mink lashes. We aim to inform so that you can make educated decisions surrounding your lash purchases.
